Accessibility

Effective July 6, 2026 · Version 1.0

Our commitment

Cinesoft is committed to making independent film accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want buying, renting, and watching films on Cinesoft to work well regardless of how you navigate the web, whether that's with a keyboard, a screen reader, captions, or other assistive technology.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most widely referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We test our site and player using a mix of automated tools and manual review across common browsers and assistive technologies, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time checkbox.

What we've built for accessibility

  • Keyboard navigation. Core actions (browsing films, buying, renting, and playing back) are operable without a mouse, with visible focus indicators.
  • Screen reader support. Pages use clear headings, labels, and landmarks so screen readers like NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver can navigate them.
  • Accessible video player. Our player supports keyboard controls, closed captions and subtitles where available, and adjustable caption display.
  • Readable design. We aim for sufficient color contrast, resizable text, and layouts that adapt to zoom and smaller screens.
  • Plain-language access. Because Cinesoft doesn't require an account, your purchase or rental is delivered through a secure link sent to your email. We work to keep that email and the link it contains screen-reader friendly.

Captions and audio descriptions on films

Cinesoft hosts films created and supplied by independent filmmakers. Captions, subtitles, and audio descriptions are available when the filmmaker provides them, and we encourage every creator on the platform to include them. Availability varies from title to title. If a film you've purchased or rented is missing captions or audio description you need, contact us and we'll work with the filmmaker to address it.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the experience may not yet be fully accessible. We're actively identifying and fixing issues as we find them. If you run into a barrier we haven't listed, please let us know so we can prioritize it.

Compatibility

Cinesoft is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) on desktop and mobile, together with the assistive technologies those browsers support. Using an up-to-date browser gives you the best experience.

Give us feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Cinesoft. If you encounter a barrier, have a suggestion, or need content in a different format, contact us at info@cinesoft.io.

We aim to respond within 5 business days.

This statement was prepared on July 6, 2026 and reflects Cinesoft's accessibility status as of that date. We review and update it as the platform evolves.
